The team behind your holiday

The owners of Camping and Villapark De Paardekreek, Arjen and Marijke Brinkman, can be found on the park almost daily. Arjen is usually on the grounds, while Marijke is at the reception.

When you walk into the reception, you’ll be greeted by our reception staff, Melanie, Dianne, and Sharyn. On the park grounds, our technical service and groundskeeping team—Ruben, Matthijs, Leo, Stefan, and Jeremy—work hard to ensure everything looks neat and functions properly. During weekends and peak holiday periods, the team is reinforced by seasonal workers and interns.

At Grand Café and Snackbar De Paardekreek, Sandra and Joanita, along with their team, are ready to serve you the tastiest drinks and dishes. The camping shop, Vakantiesuper, is the place for fresh bread rolls and daily groceries, and Arie and his team are happy to assist you

How did De Paardekreek originate?

History

Not everyone may know why De Paardekreek carries this name, so we’re happy to share this interesting, yet certainly fun, information with you!

The Veerse Meer, where the campsite is directly located, used to be an open sea arm with tides. It was characterized by the salt marshes, which were dry at low tide and submerged at high tide. Through these marshes ran creeks, one of which flows through the campsite grounds today. At this point, the horses from Noord-Beveland swam across to the other side, Zuid-Beveland. There was no fixed crossing back then, and the horses couldn't board the ferry, hence the name Paardekreek.

Camping De Paardekreek was established in 1970, and in 2005, the adjacent Villapark was opened. Over the years, the park has developed into the extensive holiday park it is today.
