The Adventure of Saartje the "Meerpaardje"
A few summers ago, someone spotted something strange in the Veerse Meer... a yellow tail sticking out of the water. Some even thought it was a sea monster.
After an exciting treasure hunt across the beach, the campsite, and the water, Saartje the Meerpaardje was discovered. Saartje originally came from the Oosterschelde, swam through the lock to the Veerse Meer, and got lost. Fortunately, Kris Ruigrok found her during one of her adventures as a friendly pirate on the Veerse Meer. They became friends and now share the best adventures together. They both love crafting, dancing, playing, and, of course, enjoying a holiday at De Paardekreek.
Saartje now lives on a small island in the Veerse Meer. Look carefully in the evening, and you might spot a little light on her island.
