What to do in Zeeland?

Not only in the park but also in the immediate surroundings of Kortgene, there is plenty to experience with four people. Jump on a bike and follow the walking and cycling network over the dikes, where you can enjoy wide polder landscapes and beautiful views over the Veerse Meer and the Oosterschelde.

In the mood for culture, terraces, or a day of shopping? The historic, picturesque town of Veere is practically across the water, and the lively shopping town of Goes is quickly accessible via a beautiful route. After an active day, you can settle down for a delicious dinner in the cozy center of Kortgene.

For a group of 4 people, we have several unique options in our park in Kortgene that go beyond the standard bungalow:

  • Zeeuwse Dijksuites: Sustainable, circularly built accommodations that are literally placed in the dike. Perfect for those seeking luxury, complete with two en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning.
  • Veerse Meersuites: Luxury water villas where the terrace floats above the water. Wake up with a panoramic view over the Veerse Meer!
  • Comfortable Lodges & Chalets: Ideal for families who want to combine the cozy atmosphere of the campsite with the comfort of their own cottage.

Yes, you are always connected to the water with us. The Veerse Meersuites are literally located above it. The Zeeuwse Dijksuites and chalets are spread throughout the greenery or on the edge of the park, but always just a few minutes' walk from the shore, the private beach, or the boat rental. You can step straight from your holiday home onto a paddleboard or into a rented sloop.

Absolutely, De Paardekreek is a true family park. In addition to the privacy and convenience of your own accommodation, children have unlimited access to all our facilities. Think of the indoor pool, the heated outdoor pool, the covered indoor water playground, and the large outdoor playground behind the reception. During school holidays, our animation team also organizes daily activities

That depends on the type of holiday home you choose:

  • In the Zeeuwse Dijksuites, all beds are already wonderfully made up for you upon arrival.
  • In the Veerse Meersuites, the beds on the ground floor are made up, and the linen for the upper floor is ready.
  • In our chalets and lodges, linen is not included as standard, but you can easily add this during booking (or later via the 'My Environment'). We recommend bringing your own towels and kitchen towels.

Your faithful four-legged friend is, of course, part of the family! In a large part of our 4-person chalets and lodges, dogs (a maximum of 2, for a small fee per night) are very welcome. Just make sure to indicate this when making the reservation so we can assign a house where pets are allowed. We like to keep the dog on a leash in the park itself.

Although there is plenty to do in the park, Zeeland is too beautiful not to explore. From the park, you can cycle or walk straight into the nature of Noord-Beveland. The historic town of Veere and the lively shopping town of Goes are nearby. Want to spend a day at the North Sea beach or seek action with the kids? Deltapark Neeltje Jans is less than 20 minutes drive from your holiday home.
