Discover Goes
The town of Goes, located in the heart of Zuid-Beveland, is a lively centre of Zeeland. Since the Middle Ages, Goes has been an important regional trading centre, which is still visible today in the charming townscape. The old town centre is a mix of monumental buildings, canals, narrow streets and cosy squares.
In the centre of Goes lies the Grote Markt, surrounded by cafés and restaurants, with the 15th-century town hall as its eye-catcher. There is a market in Goes on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The car-free city centre offers a surprisingly wide range of shops, from national chains to unique boutiques. There is also plenty of choice in terms of cuisine, from cosy lunchrooms to contemporary restaurants.
